St George is pictured in heavy black armour and a flowing red and black cape slaying the Dragon amidst sights of distant palaces ablaze and an artist recording details on to a completely blank canvas. The foreground is dominated by a veiled, bare chested woman who is encircled by an Asp, possibly making her Cleopatra.
