A highly worked watercolour of a Norfolk smock mill and its somewhat dilapidated outhouses. At the banks of the water, gulls swarm in an overcast sky above a fishing boat siding up to shore. The atmospheric effect of distant rain to the right of the brick mil tower is especially noteworthy, as is the use of strong reds and green in the scrubland of the foreground.
